Council of Competitiveness

Compete 2.0 Initiative

Compete: Strategy

The Compete 2.0 Initiative was launched in January 2008 to dive into some of the key issues at the cutting-edge of global competitiveness highlighted in the 2006 Competitiveness Index: Where America Stands. For each issue, the Council on Competitiveness will tap the insights of its members to explore how the unfolding global landscape will affect America’s future prosperity. The initiative will identify strategies for success to assure America’s competitiveness going forward.

The Compete 2.0 reports combine the power of ideas with the power of the Council’s private sector network to understand the challenges ahead and to devise positive and proactive paths for the future. America is a can-do country that has only to forge a consensus and commitment to act.

The Council will publish benchmarking reports for each of the issue areas, bringing these insights and leadership voices to Congress and federal and state executives. Compete 2.0 will lay groundwork for the Council’s 2009 Competitiveness Index: Where America Stands.
