ESIS Overview and Synopsis (PDF)
Progressive Dialogue Series
Through the generous support of the U.S. Department of Energy, and under the auspices of the ESIS Initiative, the Council on Competitiveness is organizing a progressive series of cross-cutting, high-level expert dialogues to examine the intersection of energy, sustainability and competitiveness, and bring forth insights and ideas that will inform the deliberations of the 40+ members of the CEO-level ESIS Initiative Steering Committee.
The Progressive Dialogues are being conducted throughout 2007 and 2008. The series is “progressive” in that the outcomes and findings from one dialogue feed into the next. By convening a select group of high-level experts from diverse backgrounds and sectors to consider key questions about America’s competitiveness and energy future, the series is intended to generate new intellectual capital that can be injected “real-time” into the national discourse and policy-making arena. The dialogues represent a hands-on research and analysis methodology.
