Dr. Cynthia McIntyre
Cynthia McIntyre, Ph.D., is a senior vice president at the Council on Competitiveness. Prior to joining the Council, she served as chief of staff to the president, associate vice president for policy and planning at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, the nation’s oldest technological research university. Her leadership and oversight of intellectual property, technology transfer and new ventures guided this portfolio to become a successful enterprise for Rensselaer. McIntyre is a theoretical condensed matter physicist and holds a Bachelor of Science in physics from the University of Texas at Austin, a Master of Arts in physics from Brandeis University and a doctorate in physics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
