June 27, 2012
The Council on Competitiveness, Deere & Co., GE Energy, and Procter & Gamble, in conjunction with the U.S. House of Representatives Research and Development Caucus, cordially invites you to attend a briefing on June 29, 2012 at noon in room 2325 of the Rayburn House Office Building (a light box lunch will be served).
The National Digital Engineering and Manufacturing Consortium (NDEMC):
A Public-Private Partnership Supporting
Small Manufacturers and Creating Jobs
The Council on Competitiveness is a non-partisan and non-governmental organization composed of CEOs, university presidents, and labor leaders working to ensure U.S. prosperity. The Council is a solution partner in the National Digital Engineering and Manufacturing Consortium (NDEMC).
NDEMC is a public-private partnership that encourages the transfer of advanced manufacturing techniques and processes that leverage computational power, simulation and cutting-edge modeling techniques. The partnership includes the EDA, larger companies, our national labs, high performance computer centers, universities, and of course, small and medium sized manufacturers.
NDEMC, currently in its pilot phase in the Midwest, brokers and promotes collaborative relationships to sustain the growth of American manufacturing through job creation and enhanced competitiveness. NDEMC provides modeling, simulation and analytics education and training, access to High Performance Computing (HPC) and access to Software as a Service (SaaS) for small and medium sized businesses. These services aim to make U.S. small and medium sized manufactures more competitive in the global marketplace and able to hire American workers.
