The Future of the United States

Research Ecosystem

A strong research and development community protects national security, stimulates innovation, and provides solutions to the most challenging problems that our nation faces.  A key component to this success is a strong collaboration in science, technology, and engineering across sectors of the U.S. research ecosystem – academia, industry, and our national labs.  From single-person laboratories to thousand-person collaborations, research groups throughout the country are constantly advancing the frontiers of science.  Join leaders from each of these sectors to learn more about:

The different roles of academia, industry, and national laboratories in advancing the frontiers of science and technology to spur economic growth.

The advantages of creating and maintaining synergy amongst each of these groups.

How to transfer technology from academia and national labs to industry and consumers.

What needs to happen for the U.S. research ecosystem to remove barriers and increase innovation and economic growth.

For a discussion on these and other topics regarding the future of the United States’ research ecosystem, please join us for a luncheon discussion on the importance and impact of the diverse research ecosystem on our nation.
