The Innovation Policy Discussion Group at the Woodrow Wilson International Center will host the Council on Competitiveness for a special briefing on the Council’s latest report, Thrive. The Skills Imperative. The Council’s senior vice president for thought leadership, Debra van Opstal; vice president for strategic initiatives, Chad Evans; and vice president for government affairs, Bill Bates, will lead the discussion.

Thrive calls for a national agenda to build the workforce skills needed for Americans to compete in the global economy. The briefing is part of the Council’s Compete 2.0 series that will examine the competitiveness challenges in the areas of workforce skills, manufacturing, financial services, health care and infrastructure.
