WASHINGTON—Susan Rochford, vice president for the Council’s Energy Security, Innovation & Sustainability (ESIS) Initiative, will participate in the Arizona State University Sustainability Solutions Summit, September 17. Michael Crow, president of ASU and a member of the ESIS Steering Committee, will also participate in the panel discussion.
Join the live webcast of the event, where a panel of some of the nation's best and brightest leaders in business, government, advocacy and academia will address the most serious sustainability problems. The Summit will provide a lively discussion moderated by journalist Aaron Brown of what the leaders from key sectors are doing—and should be doing—to ensure the planet will be able to continue to sustain life in the future.
Among the issues the panel will discuss are the steps that need to be taken today to achieve future goals of improving automobile fuel efficiency and developing alternative energy sources; reducing waste in manufacturing and packaging; improving water quality; reducing carbon emissions in the United States and abroad; and the role that government, industry and individuals can and should play in that effort.
This program is aimed at anyone interested in issues and solutions to today's environmental challenges. Students, faculty, sustainability coordinators, administrators and others interested in environmental issues are especially encouraged to attend.
This panel discussion will take place in front of a live audience and be streamed live from Washington.
