Welcome to Our Blog
The Council on Competitiveness and Newsweek have come together to present the National Energy Summit & International Dialogue, which will take place Sept. 23 and 24 in Washington, DC. The Summit will feature high-level dialogues moderated by Newsweek’s senior editors and involving the leading global voices on energy competitiveness. Top corporate CEOs, senior U.S. and global government officials, university presidents, labor union leaders, and other luminaries will set out specific strategies for meeting U.S. energy and sustainability challenges on day one, and on day two outline private sector principles on climate change just weeks before the UN Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen.
In the days and weeks to come, this blog will be discussing the dynamic environment surrounding these issues, featuring some of the Summit participants, and talking about how to approach these vital topics. Keep checking back in and join us in the conversation surrounding energy, sustainability, and how the U.S. and the world can meet this challenge head-on.
