Summit Alert: Senators Murkowski and Warner to Appear at Summit

Senators Will Discuss Energy Policy

U.S. Senators Lisa Murkowski (R-AK), and Mark Warner (D-VA) will discuss an energy policy "view from the hill" at the National Energy Summit & International Dialogue, September 23, in Washington D.C.

Senator Murkowski is the senior senator from Alaska and is the first Alaskan-born senator to serve the state. She is the senior Republican member of the Senate Energy & Natural Resources Committee and is also a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee. Throughout Senator Murkowski's career, both in Alaska state government and now on a national scale, she has shown a consistent commitment to solving our national energy challenges.

Senator Warner was elected for his first term as senator of Virginia in 2008. He currently sits on the Senate's Banking, Budget, Commerce and Rules Committees. Before his election to the senate, Warner served as the governor of Virginia. In 2005, TIME Magazine named him one of "America's Five Best Governors."

The National Energy Summit & International Dialogue will feature two days of high-level, outcome-based dialogues focused on addressing specific steps to drive energy security, competitiveness and prosperity through secure and sustainable energy.
