Today, the Council on Competitiveness' Technology Leadership and Strategy Initiative (TLSI) hosted the second in a series of high-level dialogues centered on the technology sector's role in U.S. competitiveness.

The discussion was led by the initiative co-chairs, Ray Johnson, Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer at Lockheed Martin Corporation and Mark Little, Senior Vice President and Director of Global Research for the General Electric Company.

The panel of participants, comprised of corporate chief technology officers, leaders in academia and government officials, highlighted the need for affordable innovation that allows Americans to collaborate, manage risk, and engage the most important technology frontiers.

The next technology leadership dialogue will take place in the spring of 2010.
