Council’s Distinguished Fellow Andy Karsner Diagnoses Slow Growth in Wind Power
LA Times Explores Challenges For Domestic Wind Industry
February 04, 2010
The Los Angeles Times' Jim Tankersley wrote an article earlier this week noting the anemic growth in the domestic wind power industry. In the report, former U.S. Assistant Secretary of Energy Andy Karsner, a distinguished fellow at the Council on Competitiveness, analyzed the factors that are hindering the sector's development in America.
Karsner points out that China "has cultivated a more favorable, predictable and hospitable market for private investments in clean-energy technology and energy infrastructure than the federal government of the United States."
