Regional Innovation Summit Spurs Regional Collaboration

The governors of the New England states recently adopted a resolution at the annual meeting of the New England Governors’ Conference to support the development of a regional innovation agenda. The resolution is a direct result of the Regional Innovation Summit the Council on Competitiveness, the Massachusetts Business Roundtable and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology convened last fall to highlight the importance of collaboration among regional leaders to implementing an innovation platform in New England.

The resolution supports “engaging all the stakeholders in innovation in a common dialogue to develop a regional innovation agenda that includes collaboration across communities, business sectors, jurisdictional boundaries, and academic disciplines to build a stronger innovation platform in New England.”
