Council of Competitiveness Teams Up with Greek Counterpart
September 18, 2008
A cooperation agreement signed by Greece’s National Council for Competitiveness and Development (ESAA) and the U.S. Council of Competitiveness will help to provide entrepreneurship with a boost, the Development Ministry said yesterday.
“With common and coordinated steps, entrepreneurship and outward-looking policies will be strengthened while work between universities will also be encouraged,” the ministry, which controls ESAA, said in a statement.
“The transfer of technology and technical know-how toward businesses will also be assisted.”
The Council on Competitiveness is a non-governmental group consisting of corporate CEOs, university presidents and labor leaders that aims to evaluate economic challenges and opportunities.
The agreement also foresees seminars, discussions and other events being jointly held by the two bodies.
