Two-part series with key leaders from the Council airs nationwide

“This is America with Dennis Wholey” features the Council on Competitiveness.

WASHINGTON—The PBS Series “This is America with Dennis Wholey” aired part one of the two-part series “Recapturing American Competitiveness” on PBS stations nationwide last weekend.

The program features Deborah L. Wince-Smith, president of the Council on Competitiveness; Chad Holliday, chairman of the Council and chairman and CEO of DuPont; Robert Zimmer, president of the University of Chicago; Shirley Ann Jackson, vice chair of the Council and president of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute; Ralph Peterson, chairman and CEO of CH2M HILL; and Luis Proenza, president of the University of Akron.

Part two of the series can be seen in Washington Saturday at 11:00 a.m. and Sunday at 6:00 p.m. on WHUT-TV/32 (Howard University PBS) and in New York on WLIW-TV 21 Sunday at 10:30 a.m. For other stations and broadcast times, please check local listings.

“This is America” is broadcast on more than 100 PBS stations throughout the country, offered nationally on cable by The American Life TV Network and distributed internationally to 160 countries on Voice of America Television.

Viewers will also be able to watch the program on the official website of “This is America,” which also lists all of the stations that carry the program.
