Council on Competitiveness Distinguished Fellow to Testify Before Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee

Karsner, former U.S. assistant secretary of energy, to call for a clean energy bank

Who: The Honorable Alexander “Andy” Karsner, Distinguished Fellow of the Council on Competitiveness, immediate former Assistant Secretary of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy. 

What: The United States Senate Committee on Energy & Natural Resources will receive testimony about the current state of the Department of Energy Loan Guarantee Program and how the delivery of services to support the deployment of clean energy technologies might be improved.  Karsner’s testimony will focus on the need for the development of a clean energy bank.  Karsner played a vital role in the development of the Council on Competitiveness 100-Day Energy Action Plan, Prioritize, which calls for the creation of a $200 billion National Clean Energy Bank.
