CNBC Features Marathon Oil CEO and Rensselaer President Discussing Council’s Energy Initiative

America needs energy security to ensure economic competitiveness

Today, CNBC featured Council members Clarence Cazalot, CEO of Marathon Oil Corporation, and Shirley Ann Jackson, president of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, to discuss how to answer the energy challenges with solutions that create sustainable job growth, generate revenue, bolster infrastructure and make America more competitive. Jackson is the co-chair of the Council’s Energy Security, Innovation & Sustainability (ESIS) Initiative and Cazalot is a member of the ESIS Steering Committee.
 
The interview took place at the international energy conference, CERAWeek 2009, where the Council is hosting its first Regional Energy Summit.
