United Arab Emirates to Sign Cooperative Agreement with Council on Competitiveness
Partnership to Enhance US-UAE Relationship and Bolster Prosperity in Both Nations

What:
Abdullah Nasser Lootah, Secretary General of the Emirates Competitiveness Council, and Deborah L. Wince-Smith, President of the Council on Competitiveness, will sign a Memorandum of Understanding between the United Arab Emirates and the United States. This agreement will initiate public and private sector partnerships to promote sustainable economic growth, develop global competitiveness policies, foster high-value innovation, and increase science and technology collaboration in both nations.
This partnership comes just one week after President Obama delivered a major speech from Cairo and directly addressed the need for enhanced U.S.-Middle East cooperation across all sectors.
