U.S. and Brazilian Leaders to Explore New Opportunities for Job Creation

Who: 300 leaders from industry, academia and the public sector from across the Western Hemisphere’s two largest economies, including:
•    Minister Miguel Jorge, Brazilian Minister of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade; and other cabinet and minister-level officials from the United States and Brazil
•    Samuel R. Allen, chairman and CEO, Deere & Company, and chairman, Council on Competitiveness
•    John J. DeGioia, president, Georgetown University, and executive committee member, Council on Competitiveness

What: A high-level dialogue focused on opportunities for sustainable job creation in both nations, and ensuring shared growth and prosperity in the 21st century through:

•    Supporting the bioscience spectrum—from agriculture to bio-fuels to health care
•    Building smart infrastructure
•    Cultivating smart places and creating regions of innovation
